seriously, ... you're wrong.
There are many 'marketing' degrees out there and without a strong theoretical framework, you will be outclassed by other marketers.
what's to say you can't have experience WHILST doing your degree? This is what I'm doing and after graduation I feel that I will have one of the best possible starting positions, with excellent chances of promotion, etc.
Also, I plan on doing an MBA eventually ($130,000 salary 5 years after completion, anyone?) which would require me to have done a degree (esp. at MBA schools like harvard)
