How about commerce/law with honours in commerce :p

But seriously, it doesn't matter. Your specific degree is almost irrelevant when it comes to investment banking.

depends on what type of IB you want to go into.
M&A is more comm/law whilst sales & trading is finance honours or/and maths degree.
In the end its not the degree so much but rather work experience (eg internships) and other things like connections with people who work in IB, to breaking into IB that are more important.

Probably the most accurate comment I've seen in this thread. Whilst most peeps in IB/upper echelon finance jobs have Comm/Law backgrounds, I think it also has to do with the fact that these people also tend to have high WAMs in Commerce too.
