Hi All,


Im trying to enrol in BCom next year at USYD and planning on doing a double major in finance and banking

During enrollment i think ive found that the first year required units for both of the majors is the same as each other and is already covered through the compusolry first year units for the commerce degree irrelevent of what majors are chosen. ]

Is this correct, am i missing something

And if i am correct, am i right in thinking that becasue i will cover these courses during the normal commerce degree i wont have to do them again to fulfill the requiremnts of the first years of the majors due to me doing them in the normal degree

This is correct,

In your first year of study Finance and Banking do not have their own major subjects. They are already core units anyway. BUSS1040 was a core unit last year but no longer is for 2018 starters. However, if you are completing Finance and Banking, BUSS1040 needs to be completed in your first year
