if u guys don't have a common room- just borrow a room off a teacher and spend your free time there...thats what we used to do bfore our common room.

Our teachers had a meeting last week about the common room - how juniors are going in there and how messy its become.

We made a roster (a new one) so everyone cleans the common room once in a fortnight (groups of 2 or 3) and we also made a cleaning schedule and rules.

The juniors come in because their older siblings are seniors or boyfriend/girlfriends come in for the same reason.

We have a computer and we have lots of old sega games (like sonic, street rods 1&2 etc) we can't type up anything and print it out because we don't have any room on the computer for microsoft office or a printer.

We have a bunch of desks for studying plus 4 lounges.
We've also got a really shit 64cm tv, plus a SNES with a stack of games. Plus a kitchen with like a toaster.

us seniors HATE it when juniors catch our morning bus
im sure ive complained about it in another thread.. but our bus gets us to school in time for 8am class.. there are like 3 public buses and 1 school bus afterwards which they can catch to get to school by 8:45.. but they catch our bus!!
then they dont stand up for the public.. spend the whole time giggling

Ours is a cage. With a big brown iron bar gate

Inside is a tiny circular room barely big enough to fit two or three torn up plastic stools. It has one waffle maker which is never ever cleaned.

There are two broken amp speakers and a hole which, rumor has it, if broken all the way through, ends up in our sister school.

The place smells like shit and bleach. S'right I guess, only the jocks, stoners and dropkicks use it.

Yeah we have one. It's sortta aaverage in size. Every year (well except last year) the year 12's donate something to it. It's been arround for a while so theres a lot of stuff in there.

We have:

Toilets
Tables
Chairs
2 lounges (brought in by one of the girls in our year)
a cd player/radio
dishwasher
fridge
cupboard
hotwater boiler thing
water cooler (outside)
vending machines
benches for food and stuff
air conditioning

yeah I think thats it. Oh plus we've got two big pin board to put up whatever we want and a whiteboard outside and then in the outside area we have 2 table tenis tables.

Gee we have a lot in there. It's a pretty great room.

We pre-planned our common room in year 8......we're still waiting for it and most of us are now in UNI......I love our crap school!

outside our study room is 'the verandah'
there are chairs and everyone tries to get there quickly to not have to sit on the floor lol.. cuz we cant eat in our senior study so we sit outside and eat

we dont have one, but we can use any room and get away with it but nothing that is our own.

...... though we did have a study room but the school got a new LIB and we were pushed in the back of it the study (which was like our common room) is now the special ed thing. And we are forced to put up with our NAZI who runs the LIb Like a prison, NO SPEAKING (at all!) ETC we cant stand her.

OUR SCHOOL WOULD NEVER GIVE US A COMMON ROOM WE JUST BARELY GOT A STUDY ROOM WHICH WE HAVE TO SHARE WITH THE YR 11S DURING OUR STUDY PERIOD UNLESS WE GO TO THE LIBRARY ( LIBRARIANS ARE BITCHES) AND WE ONLY GOT THE STUDY ROOM LIKE LAST YEAR OR SOMETHING COS TEH TEACHERS GOT A WHOLE NEW BLOCK BUILT FOR THEM AND WE GOT THE ROOM THAT WAS LEFT OVER WITH NO HEATERS , LEFT OVER DESKS AND GET THIS..... WE ASKED THE AP TO GET A BIN IN THERE COS EVERYONE EATS AND DUMPS IT AND SHE SAID SHE HAD TO THINK ABOUT IT !!!!!!------ MIND YOU THIS IS A PRIVATE SCHOOL TOO

I go to a private school too and we got a room that was left over from these old computers form the year 1970 something. We have old desks, a bin and a crumby lounge, but l didn't just sit and complain about it. I painted our locker/boxes thing and bought in a second hand lounge in good condition. Two guys brought in a computer and set that up and another brought in a cd player. We also have to share ours with the year 11s, but l don't really care..

Also our librarian isn't nice either but we never go in there.

The yr 12 common room got taken over as a teachers common room about 2 years ago. Our teachers hate us, so we don't get another one. So we get to sit in the library mezzanine with the annoying year 11s.... the place is freezing in winter and boiling in summer.
