yeah so you should be able to enrol in comp123. but i don't see why you should bother if your already familiar. it would be an easy HD, but then again it would count to your HECS debt!! LOL... theres another way of looking at it!!

but what would you want to trasnfer into? LAW? or are you looking to trasnfer externally?

so COMP123 is good for a HD for a possible transfer from BA into BA LLB course ? ( b arts / b laws )

and no i didnt do any IT subjects in hs

umm..im doing comp115 ,and planning to transfer to commerce at the end of semester..

u guys said comp114 is more suited for the commerce degree..how about comp115?

COMP115 is Computer Science.
For those who are planning to get a HD in COMP123, i'd just like to see how many of you actually do get it.

Are you the one of the chosen few to get a HD out of the 400+ students?

Is that because of the *bell* shaped / scalling style of marking criteria ??

hmmm - now that i think of it , i neeed comp123 textbook which is like $130

If it's a book that looks like *the idiots guide to....* with screenshots every 2nd page im not buying it !

COMP123 is one of the hardest subjects to get a HD in although you may think the subject is quite easy. You could even have a better chance in getting a HD in COMP114 instead. Its easy subjects like comp123 that are very bias in their distribution of marks.

Yep i agree, it's actually easier to get a HD in moderately hard subjects as weird as it sounds...
