need help coming up with an experiment to: Compare the rate at which capsules, tablets, enteric-coated tablets, and slow-release tablets.

HELP!!! maybe a method or aim? :confused:

our school has a similar assesment that we are doing. we are doing ours on the 4th dec.

how is your schoool doing it? ours is in-class

hello, c if this helps....(btw this is straight out of ma prac. book)

Aim:
To compare the rate at which capsules, tablets, enteric- coated tablets and slow release tablets dissolve

Method:
1)Fill four sets of three test tubes with
a. 10ml of distilled water (simulating the alkaline conditions in the oesophagus)
b. 10ml of dilute HCl (simulating the acidic conditions in the stomach)
c. 10ml of NaOH (simulating the basic conditions in the intestines)

2)Place one of each type of tablet into each of the three test tubes.

3)Record if the tablet dissolved and how long it takes for the tablet to dissolve.

haha this sounds like the prac that we will be doing tomrrow for our assesment....it would be funny if it was the true one....ill let u guys know what happens
