What languages are learnt in Computer Science?

I remember seeing an internet page where they were listed them somewhere but I can no longer find it.

So what languages? (Or better yet, does anyone know that page that lists them?)

Thanks

First year you learn C
Second year is java, perl and probably php. If you do DBs you learn SQL etc.

We do not teach .NET AFAIK

Depends on what subjects you take.

Languages you won't be able to avoid:
1. C
2. Java

Languages you'll probably learn:
1. Perl
2. C++
3. assembly (AVR)
4. SQL(although this isn't turing complete so it's debatable whether you want to call it a computer language)
5. Maple (1st year math)

Languages you might also learn(probably on your own):
1. Python
2. Haskell
3. PHP
4. Lisp
5. Mathematica (if you choose to do more math/do actuarial math)

Languages that you won't see much at UNSW but are popular elsewhere:
1. languages supporting the .NET framework (VB, C#, etc)
2. Ruby

avr is a definite. You need to take the microprocessors course in second year. You would also do perl in the software construction course
