in a pure semi-conductor like silicon, when the temperature is high enough it causes the electrons to jump to te conduction band leaving holes behind, so what actually allow conduction to occur, is it the holes or the electron in conduction band

The electrons flow through the conduction band and you also get electron flow as they fill the holes.

so both as in different directions right, the holes towards negative terminal and the electrons towards positive terminals

also in order for a transistor to work it requires both N-type semi-conductor and P-type semi-conductor right
