bio was never the easiest science it is just people spreading this rumour lol
people tend to think of easy as "no maths" like bitch are you that dumb? math isn't even hard besides extensoin 2 and 1.

people also don't consider how much time dedication is needed for content heavy subjects like biology when deciding which subjects are more difficult or not.

yeah because ive been lied to by everyone on this site and just generally everywhere.

i can even find it somewhere

I couldn't even do any humanities at all because they are just too hard ☹

i speak for myself when i tell you i was actually TERRIFIED of bio last yr bc i thought it was insanely hard, like everyone kept going abt how easy it is and how everyone wanted to do it whereas i knew 8 ppl from yr 11 (yr 12 now–class of 25) that were getting 60s, so i tried everything i could to not do bio

i even spoke to the head teacher asking her what she thinks of bio and she told me not do it if im more math based

Unfortunately, as luck has it, i ended up i bio bc
1. i got put into random subjects (bc i never submitted my subject form)
2. the deputy saw i had an average of 96% in yr 10 science and put me in all 3 sciences

i tried dropping bio but all the subjects on the same line were either sac or vet courses, so i picked up a language (externally) and did 15 units for the whole of term 1 just so i can drop bio, mind you i was not listening or participating in class at all (i still barely know my mod 1 bio)

3 days before my first bio exam, my friend asked how preparations are going and i completely forgot abt it so i grinded past papers for 3 whole days before and was getting like literally 0s for everything (i wish im joking) bc i didnt know any content, but i thought there is no time to study so i just practised

long story short: i got an 82%

so, yes bio is content heavy (tho i dont memorise my bio, like AT ALL (idk what a ribosome is or does gang 🥀)) but unlike the other sciences its a subject that is very 'preparable', you can know 0 of the content and still end up w a good mark (maybe my 82 was just luck tho) unlike chemistry or physics were knowing 0 of the content is absolute hell, you cant just spam past papers knowing nothing and expecting to pass, thats just unrealistic

thats why biology is viewed as an 'easy' subject bc relative to chem and physics (and the trick is 'relative to' bc on its own its not easy) its very easy to pass in it

coolcat i think 90% of the time you tend to complain about something without viewing all angles, like it doesnt take much brain power to understand why bio is stereotypically viewed as easy or why the english syllabus is built the way it is or why not everyone can do 4u math or why physics is not the easiest science as you think

starting a debate/argument is taking in considertation all angles, you cant just say a statement and 'defend' it by bringing in external information (like english when talking abt bio), you need to either consider all angles or support your claim w relevant information

wow that's actually highly impressive, because in my own experience the only way to excel in bio is know the content back to front and spam practice papers regularly. surely you knew more content than you think you did if you ended up with such a decent mark lol

lowkey i just knew osmosis, diffusion, cell membrane and like very small part of enzymes
and apparently 90% of mod 1 questions were on those so that gave me an advantage
