Can you explain in a more simple way? I hate correct to significant figures because I never get them right.In this case 0 is. The first significant figure is the first non-zero digit. So 0.000102 is rounded to 3 significant figures, not 2 or 6.

Because the 0 in 4.098 is significant and possess value in the answer.I thought it was 4.098 as 4 9 and 8 are three sig.figs. but the answer was 4.10, how? 0 is not a sig. fig.
