Hey,

Is it risky to write a poem as a creative? And if I were to write a poem, would ~15 lines be enough?

Or is this a stupid idea?

I feel confident with poems because I write them on a regular basis but I don't know if it's a good idea to deviate from the common narrative text type?

Thanks and good luck to everyone :)

Unless you're published. Don't.

Poems are created in their editing phase. Nobody can write a good poem in that amount of time, nor will it have nearly enough content in it for them to mark. You'd be sabotaging yourself doing poetry. It'll most likely give you a specific text type anyway.

Probably will not have enough time to sculpt a good poem...

I see but hasn't the text type been open since 2009?
