Creative responses - do short stories need titles? (1 Viewer)

Do short stories/creative responses that we write need to have titles?

On sample creative responses they don't usually have titles, and I was just wondering if having a title for a short story would be beneficial or detrimental?

students dont usually put them in, but my only memories of titles is my teachers saying "only a few on you put titles on your creatives."

just make sure it isnt crap, ie

"the story about a boy who climbed mount everest and learnt a valuable lesson"

less than 3 words is best IMO, cause that way dont give away any information about the story, but the title makes begins to make sense as you read on
