If you read the newspaper, you'll find heaps of wierd articles, or stories in the magazines which you can write a narrative on. Sorry, I can't think of anything specific...but does it have to be on journeys in general, or a specific journey?

Someone once gave me the perfect license to write about absoutely anything and still link it to the notion of Journey-

"There is journey in everything. Thus, if there is journey in everything, then anything you write will have a journey in it"

Imaginative journeys... I'm not sure how close this is to my own genre of 'inner journey' but perhaps you can base a substantial part of your story in dreamland or something- like someone standing near a window wondering whether they've been there before (in their dreams or in their physical sense). The conflict here is whether one has been there before in the physical sense and how one journey can influence, or even distract from, another. The change occurs towards the end of the story when the person has learnt to deal with both journeys, or has learnt to continue on both of them successfully.

When absolutely at a loss about what to write, often it's a good idea to look into yourself and see what you can find. My own 'triggers' have included childhood memories about my favourite pink ribbon and bake-offs (you'd better believe it, I actually wrote a story about this!), getting lost just before various important functions, dreams... in fact dreams are really good, especially if you woke up before it finished- just write the end bit! :)

The hardest part about writing is always the start, but remember- there is journey in everything- write now and link later! :)

Best wishes!
