Does anyone do this? Is it hard to have approved? I want to do some media/writing units at UTS, but i'll be actually enroled and studying at either macquarie or sydney.

Just wondering if anyone knows more about it/does it themselves and is it worth it?

I thought you could do it in second semester? Oh well, i can wait til second year, there's no rush.

yeah they don't have the units at sydney, they are the one's that suggested it to me actually, so hopefully they'll approve. I don't know about mac if i end up there instead.

Arts/law probably. Or just arts perhaps. I KNOW writing isn't exactly the most likely thing to combine with such degrees, but i really want to do it and there is nothing even CLOSE at sydney. the guy i spoke to said quite a few people have done it with media/writing units cos there are so few options at sydney.

Actually, someone doing a degree in communications at UC was doing their major at USyd. She was a flight attendant and lived in Sydney. She managed to go well academically too - like top 15% of uni. http://www.canberra.edu.au/news_events/media_releases/media_18_12_03.html

I think it takes a bit of messing around doing cross-ins study.,
