I'm sure its been done before but i'm nursing a broken heart at the moment - which invovles listening to a cd i brought today called 'love hurts' (very appropriate) trying not to cry........

So i was wondering how everyone else deals with a broken heart?

drink.
go out.
have fun.
be with mates.
cry.
pig out on pizza, slushies and chocolate.
watch a lame movie.
watch a brad pitt movie.
feel sorry for yourself.
convince yourself he was a bastard.
dont talk to him again.
pig out on chocolate.
go out with friends.
forget about him.

I suggest stewing in it for a while. Then when you are ready, find something exciting to take your mind of things or have a nice long warm bath. Best thing you can do it share your pain with a friend.

Thanks Argo. :p

You can't cure a broken heart in a day (or twenty). Listening to sad music helps, if you're the crying-it-all-out type. I would suggest not isolating yourself from friends, because as much as you don't feel like doing anything with them, once they're there, they're surprisingly effective on cheering you up. :)

It's been awhile since someone broke my heart, but when it happened, all I did for a couple of days was just sulk at school and cry my eyes out at home. I thought it would never end, but after a week or so, the hurt started going away, and I ended up forgetting about him completely without even realising it.

Try not to think about all the good times you had. They're heart-stabbing knives.

Watching DVDs (just not really romantic ones) helps you escape your own life. :p

time is the best cure.... and sleep (because you don't feel anything when you sleep, and it also makes time go faster). So lots of sleep to waste lots of time and you'd eventually get over it

dont listen to sad songs
set fire to his bedroom - preferably when he is inside his bedroom
set fire to all his belongings
if he has a car, key it, spray paint it, leave obscene messages on it

Delete his old email/ text messages on your phone, listen to music, watch movies, read a book or something – try and do something in to help you push him out of your mind. Never try to bring him up in a conversation and try to avoid thinking about him (which can be tough). Go out and have fun a few with friends and try to meet some other cool guys. And don't try to approach him while you mend your broken heart.

i dont think you should be the psycho ex.
that gives guys cause to go to their mates and rant about what a bitch that ex of theirs was. plus it achieves little and doesnt reflect well on your character if thats the only way you can think of getting back at him.
