Simulated data: Data that simulates several different conditions, designed to test the performance over these condictions. Eg. multitasking
Volume data: Data ensures that the system can process large amounts of data without failing
Live Data: Actual data that is processed by the system. Live testing takes place once system is operational, used to ensure operating as expected.

could someone please explain this bit of the syllabus:-

storing and retrieving in transaction processing systems
• storage of digital data in databases and files
• retrieval of stored data to conduct further transaction processing such as printing invoices
• systems to store paper records of transactions

- tps stores data on databases and files.
.For data bases, you need to know relational, network and hierarchical.
.For files you need to know: master file, transaction file, transaction logs, a wrok file, a report file....

"Retrieval of stored data to conduct further transaction processing such as printing invoices"

- HTML, PDF, word and etc

"systems to store paper records of transactions"

-Filing cabinets
- OCR (Online character recognition)
- Document imaging (I.e. scan the papers/papers)


They are all easy...just identify and make up (BS) ur answer...
