Source 5 illustrates problems involved with reconstruction; it shows a Pompeii street where decay has occurred on the buildings , due to infestation of various plants. This makes it hard to reconstruct the ancient buildings in Pompeii and Herculaneum.
is this right? it's a picture with a building showing signs of decay
and i was wondering if this is a problem for recounstructing
if there are any problems plz help

I can't see Source 5 but in terms of what i learnt at school was that weeds and various other vegetation pushed through mosaics. The mosaics cracked and it would be difficult to remove the plants from the damaged mosaics and then replace the ancient tiles to their exact state. Moss grows on the walls where there were paintings, kinda difficult to remove the moss and then reconstruct the paintings as the pigments of paint where made from grounded gems/stones etc during that period-obviously in today's society it is hard to make the exact colour of paint.

this probably doesn't help but it is difficult to reconstruct the past
