I'm doing the history and memory elective and someone (forget who) suggest the diary of ann frank as a self selected text.
Now its taken me two weeks to read the book which is as borring as hell but I've finally finished it.
But looking back on it all it really was, was her present thoughts and ideas at the time of the war going on around her. It really has no memorable or historical element.

Has any ever used this book or have any idea how it could be used for history and memory??

Yeah our teacher told us to avoid that book because it is based on the journal she wrote at the time of the Holocaust so it doesnt really incorperate memory and you need to have something that incorperates both.
