The Question:Is that past tense or present tense?

Back last year I had lots of notes and study guides. With those and many jotted down pointers, I drafted an "essay layout" with many noteworthy and mentionable quotes and ideas. I also heavily relied on sites such as sparknotes and wikipedia.

I only made notes in class. If you mean, did you go through your texts at home and make notes...well no, I didn't do that, but we had a pretty good teacher who gave us a lot of classnotes...I think it would be possible but you would need to do lots of practice essays instead. Even just paragraphs for them. Get past papers, coppy out the questions, then do a paragraph on your set text and hand it in. Next day, do a paragraph on a stimulus book text and hand it in to get marked. Do this for the whole week, different sections, and by the end you'd have an essay done.

For AOS, just write a good generic essay/creative writing, as the questions are so broad, that it practically becomes a test of how good you can memorize and reguritate.

Theoretically u dont NEED notes BUT if you want the higher marks it would be a good idea to make notes as it is important as other have mentioned to know you texts, techniques, also how the relate to the unit (eg/ powerplay, journey etc)
