Same here. They usually go together in questions.

Social issues affect the way people live and the way they work in their environment. Ethical issues concern what is right and what is wrong (often concerned with the law).

ethical issues are any issue that has a law associated with it...

social issues are basicly anything else....

they are always looking for:

-changing nature of work

-reskilling

-deskilling

-redundancy

-data security/accuracy

-copyright(big in multimedia)

ummm theres more but i cant think of them without going to my textbook :p

but if u have a 5 mark question ish...make sure u mention those terms cause they look for them, and then if its explained and relivant.

Wouldn't copyright go under ethical issue? Copyright is a legal thing after all.. ^^;

Yes, copyright would be an ethical issue. It could also come under social issue depending on who it affects in terms of money etc.

Also, good professional practice, even if not law, is also an ethical issue.

Social and Ethical issues can often be classified as both. There are a few that can be fully put under only one of the two. For example, Copyright affects people legally, but is also a wrong thing to do.

Social issues deal with relationships between individuals, the general well being of the community and stuff:
examples include: psychological factors, changing nature of work, design, ergonomics

Ethical issues deal with what is right and what is wrong, mosly stuff related with the law and morals
Examples: theft, privacy of the dude, ownership of data, equity, copyright
