Hey guys,
Just out of curiousity how did everyone's trial marks compare to their HSC marks?

Thanks heaps :)
In some they did, in others not even close,

Trial : HSC exam mark

English - 70 : 86
Maths Ext 2 - 45 : 92

Trials Hsc

3U Math- 54/90
4U Math- 40/84
Adv Eng- 68/74
Chem - 78/79
Physics - 80/81

The trial marks i have given are not percentages

Dont forget that the HSC marks are moderated

Hey thanks guys, this gives me a bit of an idea where I should be heading in terms of marks.
I'm suprised how considerable the jump has been for some subjects though.

Not always.
Most of the time it is because
1. Schools set hard trials to scare students
2. Teachers mark hard to scare students
3. People generally study more for HSC
dont forget the moderation of marks, im sure i got the same raw mark in hsc for 3U as i did in trials and thanks to moderation i got a heaps higher mark

This thread makes no sense at all.

Trial marks are raw. HSC marks are aligned, and we never see the raw mark. It's just not useful or meaningful to compare raw marks to aligned marks.

Yes, trials are raw and HSC is aligned but mine can still be compared because I got aligned for trial in my report!!!

2 Unit Mathematics
TRIAL RAW 119/120
TRIAL ALLIGNED 99
HSC RAW (assuming) 120/120
HSC ALIGNED 100

chem 88% 89
physics 83% 83
maths ext 1 63% 92

huge difference(e.g. my chem. exam marks: Trials: 54/100 HSC: 83/100) as I got sick during the trials and my f***king parents sent me to school anyway cause they felt that by keeping me at home resting they felt and I quote: "I would not be a man" WTF?!!!

My UAI(86.25) could have been alot higher but those dickheads ruined it all for me!!!!!!

Trial / HSC exam

Adv. English: 68 / 71
Gen. maths: 72 / 85
Legal: 46 / 77
Biology: 56 / 75
Ancient history: 42 / 70

While it isn't a great comparison as the hsc exam marks aren't raw marks, it is still a huge improvement lol.
