What is the difference between them?

Is the only difference that if you were asked about the planning process, you would write about the types of things that are in a marketing plan, and in elements of a marketing plan, you are in fact writing a marketing plan and under each heading you will be specifically relating the material to a specific business?

Could some clarify the difference please? Thank you! :)

From what i recall, the marketing planning process involves the development of a 'marketing plan', should follow a similar structure with one minor diff -

Situational analysis
Develop Marketing Objectives
Identify Target Market
Develop Marketing strategies
->Create Marketing Plan
Implementation, monitoring and controlling.

The 'marketing planning process' can be seen as the 'verb' implication in which a business physically identifies target market, uses primary data to check progress etc..

Elements of a marketing plan are, yes, the headings that are explored in the planning process, and is like the record of the physical research conducted previously.

I hope that *sort* of makes sense ... im hoping someone will either confirm or refute this

i dunno either. good question.
what i think is that the planning processes is just like an into or summary or like an overlap of the next subtopic.

dunno if u do legal, but in that subject, there is some overlap seen in this example.

Marketing planning process:
Situational analysis
establishing marketing objectives
identify target market
developing marketing strategies
PREPARE PLAN
implementing monitoring and controlling

Elements:
Situational analysis
establishing marketing objectives
identify target market
developing marketing strategies
implementing monitoring and controlling

basic difference is that there is no prepare plan.

Are you suggesting that in all the other elements you would say the same thing regardless of which one was specified in the question?

Ive left that stage I said out when they have asked the marketing planning process in my trial. But yeah, just make sure u have the other essential elements if you forget the "prepare plan" because you really are preparing the plan by doing it aye?
Remember these:
Situational analysis
establishing marketing objectives
identify target market
developing marketing strategies
implementing monitoring and controlling

I'm sure the OP will appreciate your help, considering that he only did his HSC two years ago.

Maybe it's to help other people who are struggling with the differnce between them not just the one who posted the thread. Seems like you are still reading the threads after finishing the HSC. :chainsaw::ninja:
