You have to be born smart to be an excellent student. Hard work can never make up for a lack of genius. This is the truth.

Since when did the HSC test raw intelligence or talent? Everyone has the capacity to do well, it's purely based on effort. A person born with inate intelligence will not always be superior if he dosen't put in the work.
