What is it? I've never heard of this before in 3U. Can somebody plz teach me/link me a resource to learn it? :hammer: :read:
It's in the cambridge text book, most schools don't teach it, but you can use it if you want to. Havent seen any 3u questions where implicit was necessary to do it.

That's why cambridge is best for 3U maths

It's where if you differentiate a square root function, it's

(u')/2*sqrt*f(u)
Like InteGrand said you don't have to explicitly use working out for the chain rule altogether
