Well I have Windows Xp SP2 installed.

When i go to packetnews and do a search and find something I like to have and click on the link to open IRC and automatically connect to the network + channel, it says "Page cannot be displayed".

I know its got something to do with SP2 security issues.. but I dunno!

Anyone know how I can re-enable this again? Used to work before XP2 :(

What browser are you using?

XP Security Centre may also be interfering.

Turned off the windows firewall?
Can you connect to IRC outside of packetnews?
