um, laz, you said it's searchable? how can i search an excel file?

(if it can seriously be done this will solve all my problems with something i've been trying to create on my computer)

edit: it's a great file, sorted by school is great

Use the Sort functions, or "Find"

How Dare They!!!

May I point out a something?? The highest number of band 6's was scored in Music 2, which I scored a band 5. Music 2 scales up, so therefore, all those who got band 6 in Music 2 benifited from the scaling alot! But, when u think about it, why should they move it up, cos the most amount of ppl did well in it! However, Drama, which had a very low amount of ppl achieve Band 6 (which indicates, it was harder to achieve a band 6 in drama), gets scaled down.. tell me the logic? How can they tell me that the fact i scored in the top 14% of the state, but then take away my marks.
HOW DARE THEY!!

There is no logic, you're misunderstanding the whole thing.

The percentages of students achieving in Band 6 have no effect on scaling.

Post in the Technical Arcana forum if you have further questions.

god dam... how many people from james ruse ag high kicked ass on these exams... i was the only person from my high school (deniliquin high) to get on the list.. and that was only for general maths..... how are these people so smart???????
and also, not to mention- we [ruse ppl] live in close proximity to an electricity substation - i mean, there's huge power line towers IN parts of the farm..

so, together with an 99% asian population and mutating effects of radiation... = nerdification? lol

Actually, yes.

Searching would have revealed them.

I can only guarantee the accuracy of the 2004 spreadsheet.

2004 HSC - Distinguished Achievers List (1.6mb) Compiled by Lazarus.

2003 HSC - Distinguished Achievers List (1.4mb) Compiled by Huy.

2002 HSC - Distinguished Achievers List (1.5mb) Compiled by Lazarus.

2001 HSC - Distinguished Achievers List (753kb) Compiled by jnothman.
Not even the one you made, Lazarus?

Thanks a lot. I did try a search; but nothing was found.

I was quite rigorous in my creation of the most recent spreadsheet - I can't recall whether I did the same for the other.
