Your school assessment rank is moved upward or downward in regard to how well you do as a year. So if you're with the smart people, you get moved up with them. Yet this is not always the case, depending on how far away you are from the "smart people."

I refuse to believe SAM, and the other calculator. I punched in some pretty high marks, in the 80's and 90's, and it still gives me a scaled down mark out of 50. Even in maths ext. and physics. I dont get it.
Say im 2nd in the grade for 2 unit maths, i get 90/100 in the HSC. Hows the scaling gonna go on my 2 unit.

assuming "ext maths" refers to adv maths

a very rough estimate is around 80-85 UAI

74 in adv maths isn't very high, you have to look at the % in state (ie around bottom 45%)
when you input mark you really have to take note of that % figure

naaa............92 percent in 2 unit advanced maths.
74 percent in extension 1 maths (3 unit)...
thats wat i meant............and my current ranking of 2 unit advanced maths is 2nd in grade....wat would you estimate ? ?
