Yeh. 6 years of highschool wearing a tie makes you quite proficient. I rock a half or full windsor depending on how thick the tie is.

Yes. At least I used to. Daddy taught me. He also taught me how to tie a bow tie, but I don't think I remember how to do that.

Yes. With nearly a decade wearing them at school it was impossible not to know.

Yeah I learnt how to tie a full windsor when I was in infant school.
Had to wear ties from K-10 [both public].. Would of been K-12 if my year wasn't the first year to change the winter uniform =]

I had to teach my partner how to tie a tie (at the age of 22), because we both went ot a crappo public school and never had the need.

Although I've been going to a high school that required us to wear ties, I never learnt how to do it properly.

Windsor knot is best, should be made the only legal form!

I use a four-in-hand for everyday, looks less pretentious. I don't like the windsor unless I'm going to court or powerdressing. The ediety and cross knots are good for that extra pizzaz at parties.

If the tie is a thick a full windsor looks silly, also if it's too short. That's what half windsors are for.

That's the same one, AKA school-boy knot. It's particularly disgusting and should be avoided IMO.

Yeah I had that trouble doing up my brother's tie, I did a full windsor and it looked horrible but I fixed it with a half windsor :)
