i got 97/100 in the independent trial...what kind of marks usually get state ranked for legal?

I'd say that would be good enough for a state rank on the HSC. What is your rank in legal overall and for the trial. Also, what is your school rank?

school rank is 39 and i 1/40
You can get a state rank. If you don't mind, can you show me some of your essays? I really need help in knowing what to include and writing in a legal response. In return I can give you my human rights, crime or consumer and family notes. What do you say? (Alternatively we can make another arrangement -> Legal essays/notes for my Ancient History notes...trust me, you'd want my P+H notes and Sparta n Augustus. If you do Hatshepsut you'd want them too).
Btw, the highest HSC mark in our school last year for legal was 97. That kid didn't get a state rank though. But i know in 2007 a mark of 97 was 5th in the state. Maybe the raw marks are different to the scaled mark. But with 97 you have a good chance of being in the top 20 in the state.

Definitely a chance at a state ranking in that case. However, there can be a significant disparity between trial marking standards and HSC marking standards.
