Ummm... nooo.... don't ask her to tutour u....

why?...

IT'S ILLEGAL... especially in yr 12.... there's reasons for it being illegal .

it's illegal for ur teacher to tutour u outside school....

u could, as miss_gtr said, get tutuoring or HELP during frees or lunch or wateva... but yeh...

True, teachers who have yr12 classes arent allowed to officially tutor students from their own school

no its not wrong

hey if u want help with english just ask ur teacher and see wat she says. if she says no just ask if u can see her during ur breaks or free periods. that way she mite be able to help u understand and she will be able to explain things in a way for u to understand and that way she wont get in trouble for helping u outside school hours. alsoif u no sum1 that did yr 12 last yr that did the same modules as ur school then they also mite be able to help.

also dont ever be afraid to ask for help, its a natural thing to do and if any1 ever says that ur a nerd for asking questions then they obviously have problems.

Getting extra help in school is fine, she would still be classified as a teacher.

Teachers cannot actually become a 'tutor' to their own students; its a policy I think.

However, they can 'tutor' students from other schools. Sucks, I know.

hey dont ever be afraid of asking for help. cause thats wat teachers are there for, to be hounded by yr 12 students and help them to the best of their knowledge.

My maths teacher forced tutoring upon me... cos my parents complained to the school about how crap he was, the deputy principal and I came to an "agreement" that I'd spend a lunchtime a week working with my teacher on maths stuff I hadn't learned yet. So far I think I've had about three lessons in six months :p

hey hey :)
first off...i don't think you asking for 'help' from ur teacher is too contentious but paid tutoring is abit wierd, i mean you might as well pay someone who specialises in that field of tutoring. ask for lunch of before-schools sessions this can give you a good 3hours or so a week...but if it doesn't help then i suggest you just get professional tutoring, or from a teacher that isn't taking a yr 12 class as everyone else has suggested.
i gotta admit tho, if i was in ur eng. class and found out u were getting tutoring from the teacher, i'd get a bit annoyed.

secondly, i noticed u were from mounty county, do u go to Chifley senior? cos if u do, with your 25 hsc markers as teachers i wouldn't blame u for trying to be as advantageous as possible :) or was it 75???!!

im outz

I don't think that's legal... it presents a conflict of interest. If she's marking your work in an assessment, she can't be objective.
