I don't think there are any distinctions between different 'types' of law degree, at least in Australia. All law degrees (LLB or JD) must adhere to the same core academic requirements set by the various state-based Law Societies for admission into the profession. In this sense the specific degree program you enrol in doesn't particularly matter.
However, if you want to specialise in IP law or orient your career towards in-house work at a fashion label, you can use elective subjects within your degree to focus your studies towards these areas. Alternatively you could potentially do an honours thesis or LLM specialising in these areas of law after graduation.
