Does HCl Hydrolyse in Water or is it only Acidic and Basic Salts that do that?

Is the equation HCl + H20 -> Cl- + H30+
or is this NOT a hydrolysis equation and something different?

A hydrolysis equation is like follows...
NH4+ + H2O ↔ NH3 + H3O+

Is it not hydrolysis because it -> goes to completion and doesn't exist in equilibrium like every other hydrolysis equation i've looked at?

Your understanding of the word 'hydrolysis' is incorrect. Please see the wikipedia article, it shoudl explain it for you.

HCl + H20 -> Cl- + H30+ is NOT a hydrolysis equation. It's an ionisation/B-L acid equation.

You're welcome =]. A hydrolysis reaction is any where water is 'lysed' = 'destroyed' = SPLIT. An example of one relevant to the HSC would be the breakage of bonds in an organic polymer - a water splits to 'fill' in the radical ends of the newly split molecule.
