I was kidding, it's usually about $25 or so - but you can charge it to your HECS if you're feeling all desperate.

You probably need to contact individual universities regarding their deferment processes. The University of Western Sydney allows you to accept an offer you have been made, then send a letter (and $100) stating that you wish to defer for 12 months and they will hold your position for you.

If you’re planning a gap year – have a great one. Otherwise good luck with ur application and uni.

Newcastle Uni was free to defer but like Modly81 said, contact the uni you are apply to.
