well i go doonside technology high school its not a great school preety crap all our smart students go to st mary's and stuff im staying so will my school affect the alignment of my courses for example if i got say 85% in physics and it usually is aligned to say 90% would my crappy school make it go lower adn may go to like 87% or mabye lower liek 80% or 75% ahhh. can someone plz help me out here.
also the courses advanced ext english adv ext math 3 sciences and law are they high up alinging ones coz smart ppl do it or coz its really hard?

No - schools play no part in the aligning process.

In general:

Raw marks will be aligned up if the examination paper was too difficult.

Raw marks will be scaled up if the students taking that course were 'very able' students (i.e. they tended to do well in all the courses they took).

Aligning has no effect on UAIs.

school rank is how well your cohort will do in the external exam basically, meaning if your school is ranked high, your cohort generally does better on average for external marks, thus your internals will be higher
