Hey,

Does anybody have one of those "Dot Point" textbooks? Whether it would be for chemistry, physics, biology and etc. (Preferably chemistry since I want a chemistry one)

I have a numerous amount of textbooks including: macquaire, conquering and contexts.
I'm looking for a textbook with more questions and "Dot Point" seems to fit this category. I just wanna ask if they are really worth buying since they are about $50 each.

Thanks

yeh i had both physics and chemistry and trust me when i say they are great!

The go exactly by the syllabus and therefore you can't go wrong.

Plus they give you a basic summary of each topic you do...worth the buy

But is the chemistry one worth $50 and does it have a lot of mistakes?

"Sucess One" is good. Have a look. It's all actual past HSC questions, so they're a good practice.

I'm in preliminary at the moment.
And some of my chemistry teachers recommended me to buy it but I'm just not too sure whether to buy it or not.

I reckon for prelim, the textbook they give at school is sufficient, (well our school that is) although for the HSC, you may have to delve further if you wanna do well.

Yeah our school provides "Conquering chemistry" as a textbook for us. It has a lot of questions but some of the harder questions only give 1-2 word answers, not explaining how they got it.
Dot point answers seems to answer most questions with approx a paragraph giving more detail.
But I just don't know if this alone is worth $50.
