I don't think you should be angry about things that have already happened. Concentrate about whats ahead of you, and you can maximise your marks.

Be optimistic, make up for it next year. Put it in perspective: those were probably worth maybe 10-20% of your HSC at most, and it's ranks that matters so it's not like you need 100%.

You still have the reminder of your assessments left, which would probably be weighted more then the assessments you have already completed i.e. the trials.

Your only one term (well almost one term) into the HSC there is still plenty of time to improve. Just make sure you use these assessments as a lesson. Learn from your mistakes, ask questions, do more practice/study and hopefully better marks will be in your future.

Best of luck. :)

I'd suggest hiring a tutor, either a former/current teacher or a past HSC student who excelled in english (advanced), extension 1 or extension 2. You can't go wrong with 1-on-1 coaching and help.

Just a question, do you guys study at all? or do your assignments before the actual night that they happen to be due?

I got 33% in my Maths exam and 68% in Physics so far so you aren't doing too bad.
