We don't have dux as such, I think maybe there is an award if you kick everyone else, hopefully Id get that!!

that reminds me, l'm trying to get 100% for my maths test (general) next week. l know all the work, but l'm using 2 textbooks (my ones) and doing all the questions so l can ace it and hopefully get near 100% (good practise too!)

our dux = highest uai

the same for most schools,
but of course, the dux gets 'predicted' in advance, for example the kid who comes 1st in the most subjects, has the best aggregate, etc.

Mm. Our dux was chosen after HSC and UAIs came out. She was some uber nerd with 99.90 UAI and is now studying Med @ UNSW. She took home all her awards in a garbage bag

we dont have dux
all we have is 'academic excellence' = for the most academic people in our year ie to say people who are within top 10 of all their subjects.. i want it so bad!!!!!! damn english adv!

The state has the Premier's Award for Academic Excellence, which is getting Band 6's in 10 units or more
(Basically those 98-99 UAI people )

I got 'equal' Dux last year, almost defeating the purpose of it's existence. It's quite likely that I'll be lucky enough to recieve it this year (We get it awarded at graduation), but I don't want to get complacent.
