Earth to Chem in term 2-Urgent Advice (1 Viewer)

Hey guys, I am in yr 11 and am seriously debating switching earth and environmental science to chem. However, this means i would have to catch up on a whole terms work for chem which would be extremely hard. The thing is I could probably achieve band 6s in earth and would likely be more average in chem because it is obviously a lot harder. What do you reckon, is it worth switching to chem?? I honestly feel I would enjoy both subjects however am in a crisis atm because i feel chemistry would be more useful for my future and is a lot better at scaling, but i still enjoy earth and am very good at it. Atm i do
- Physics
- Economics
- Earth
- Math Extension 1
- English Advanced
- Modern(will likely drop this in yr 12)

Don't switch, you can do amazing in earth and tbh it's really late for one, especially if you're enjoying earth already

plus you don't even know if you'll like chem, you can always study it at uni too 🤷‍

I want to switch from business studies cause i lowkey hate it, and I really dont wanna keep enterprise computing either so i'll drop that in yr12

cause i didnt do my research properly & i overestimated year 11

also i think its stupid to only have 2 weeks to switch subjects which i'll keep for 2 years. like i didnt realise how much i disliked my current subjects until much lter

It's not the end of the world. If you genuinely want to pursue something chemistry related in the future, bridging courses or self-study can help
