thanks Jimmy, Could you please explain the step where you stated k = 2m, its pretty obvious but i just want to know where you got that from...
That would be a product of integers. I believe it would be the same as saying:
Let n be an integer divisible by 6.
By definition n = 6k for some integer k.
Thus n = 2 × 3 × k = 3 × (2k).
But 2k is an integer since it is the product of integers.
