Hi everyone,

Today must be a very busy day!

I have a question about the ECON1101 course.

There is a class on at MON and TUE from 11am to 12pm.

I have an option of having a tutorial either before that (10 to 11) or after that...

Which one should I choose? Is it okay to have a tutorial before a lecture?

Thank you

Yes, tutorial's review the prior week's work. So the 10 or 11am tutorial would comprise of the prior lecture's material, you would attend the 11am lecture which comprise of new material. Repeat.

Going off your sig, micro 1 will be mostly revision (a la Year 12 Eco) for you anyway.

I'm not sure about UNSW's introductory economics courses, but at MQ first year micro builds well beyond HSC economics. You learn about some basic producer theory (cost curves and some completely new material). Consumer theory, however (learning about utility etc), does not go beyond definitions and some basic graphs and elasticity formulas, and thus HSC level.

Should not be taken lightly because you did HSC economics. I made that mistake.

Good luck!
