Hi, i'm at univeristy studying to become a teacher and i currently have an assignment that is due tomorrow on Educating Rita.
Is there anyone who is able to give me some outside comments on the film, i'm fresh out of thoughts.
Here are the issues i need to answer:
What the aim of education is as presented in the film-
*what students discuss/percieve about their futures
*what the teachers see as the students' futures
*the students' current social situations and the siutations of those around them
*what students and teachers say is the aim of education
What form the education takes and whether that links well with what you consider to be the aim of education as presented in the film-
*how classes are conducted and what tells you about how the teavcher sees the student
*what kind of detting in education is conducted- e.g. always int he classroom?
What definition of the educated citizen the film presents? what does it mean to be educated in this film?-
*at the end of the porcess, how will the student be different as a person?
*what will it mena for their futures?
*are there any costs tot e kind of education depicted adn to becoming the kind of person it produces.
I know that's a lot there but seriously even if someone has one suggestion on even one thing that i've listed up the top would help me tremendously.
