Hey folks.


I'm doing the HSC this year, and it's probably really early to ask this question, but meh.

I'm looking to go to Southern Cross Uni at Lismore to do this (that is - if I get the UAI I need....) I've heard that SCU isn't looked nowhere as good as other uni's like Macquarie etc.

Why is this? Is it because it's a pretty new Uni? Or, is it really shit???

Yeah, Newcastle's my second choice.


Lismore's about the same distance from here as it is from Sydney, and I thought it'd be a bit cheaper there too, eg- rent. I don't know lol!

A lot of my friends are going to Newy, but I'll meet lots at Lismore lol

Do you plan on teaching up near Lismore? or coming down to Sydney? Because if you want to teach in Lismore..or anywhere in the bush/coastal towns then I'd go SCU or even Newy, simply because they'd cater for Rural Teachers more than Sydney Metro would.

Yeh i was plannigng rural over metro.

And yeh! I didn't think of the Newy Uni bit they've just started here! I'll look into it more.
