This is probably a bit dubious, but I was bored and thinking about how I would explain polarity. I looked up the definition for electronegativity, and it says that it's the tendency of an atom to attract electrons. But shouldn't it be the tendency of a nucleus to attract electrons? Since an atom encompasses both the electrons and the nucleus?
