I like the Elizabeth portrayed in Shekhar Kapur's movie, but I've got no idea if she was actually like that.

she was a slut. no different to the men in power. its just she gets portrayed as some wonderful fair woman in movies. she was selfish too. nothing special about her. just lucky timing / climate when she got in power.

I happen to like her. I mean sure she had plenty of faults but who wouldn't if you had her father.

I am one of the people who dislike Queen Elizabeth 1 but even i have to admit that she was a great ruler. She purposely put men who where loyal to her first and religion second as her closest advisers.
She made reforms that united England and brought the country back from debt and stood up to all the males power who didn't believe that women could rule properly with out a husband.
