Thanks for the kind words. Performance, music 1. All guitar...

I played (in order):

Satch Boogie - Joe Satriani (Rock)
Insensatez - A.C. Jobim (Jazz - Core)
John Scofield Medley - John Scofield (Instrument and its Repetoire)
Donna Lee - Charlie Parker (Jazz)

I'm not really sure which one I may have got nominated for. I played satch boogie well but im not really a rock player, Insensatez was good but it's only a core piece, Scofield Medley was bad (bad arranging on my behalf), and Donna Lee we played at about 290bpm which is a little too fast for my picking hand. Donna Lee is the best but I didn't really pull it off as well as I usually do and fumbled a bit in the solo.

What did other people play?

I got nominated, and I was on a tour with an Australian Youth Big Band when I found out in California. And guess what? I met John Scofield!

I played trombone. Music 2 and Extension. A violinist at my school also got nominated, which is good because only 5 music 2 students at my school and 3 music 1s.

Awesome... I met Scofield in May in Melbourne at his workshop there. His concert was the most inspiring moment ever.
