I wasn't sure where to put this so I just did it here. Im just wondering, if I'm getting an average of 13/15 for all my eng adv assessments (which is equivalent to about 87%), and in the end I end up with that mark as my course mark (ie. after trial marks have been accounted for) - what's the chance of them raising my mark to a 90 or higher when they submit it to the board of studies? Thanks in advance

(btw, the teachers at my shool are pretty hard markers)

it all depends how u go in the hsc exam. If u get 87% for example but come like top 1% of the state then i wouldnt see why u cant get a band 6

It depends on how you're scaled up to. My average last year was about 12/15 for all my eng adv essays. My teachers were hard markers too, and I ended up getting 90 (Band 6) for eng adv :)

I wouldn't count on the exam marks alone to put you anywhere - the internal marks have to be finalised/scaled up or down first. Your final mark is generally the mean of the internal and external (HSC exam) marks.
