ENGG 1801 & Matlab (1 Viewer)

Ok how are we supposed to know how to do stuff with matrices when we don't learn them in maths until week 6 or so? The lecturer goes on about all this stuff I have no idea about, and we have a quiz on it in weeks 4 and 5.

Anyone else have the same problem?

You don't need to understand how to calculate those by hand. Just remember the Matlab codes for calculation.

I'd still like a background in matricies in math before doing it in 1801 though, I have no idea what's going on when doing stuff with them.

Well read ahead, then. Matrices are pretty easy up til determinants anyway.

Determinants are easy as they'll never ask you to do more than a 3*3 by hand.

There's Jacobian in linear second year though...now it starts to get very messy.
