traditionally more guys have done engineering courses but that has, and will, change gradually. My friend (girl) does chemical engineering and she says shes like the only girl in most of her lab and tute times.....lol

I'm doin BE(elec) & yeh the ratio is pretty poor. But its probably the other way around when you look at nursing or something similar.

i doesnt look like there will be any other girls, but umm yeah.
the tought of it is pretty daunting, but i guess i just have to deal with it.

yeah in applied science (TR) and (OT) put together in one lecture room... there was like 3 guys! to about 100 girls!!!! how am i supposed to find a new boyfriend with that ratio?

Yeah Tooheyz ... theres plenty of girls in the maths/science courses you have to do ... its just things like elec where the guy to girl ratio is insanely crap (if ur a guy)

yeah man the maths lectures have like 190 ppl doing em!
all the science and engineering ppl will be doing that

and the maths tutorials should be fine as well

but all the engineering lectures and tutes are the only thing im worried about

i just hope theres like ONE other girl doing my stuff :D

Hmm.. i recall some girls in my first year elec class .. but not many.
i have to say though, it wont be a problem ... because ull have plenty of girl friends in other classes.. guys arnt so scary, you can be friends with us im sure!! (co-ed schools all the way man)
Hehe just.. in software.. dont.. scare..the ...nerds...

its a specialised branch of electrical engineering , its not just programming... The institute of engineers australia recognises it www.ieaust.org .. (free membership for student engineers, if you sign up you get a fancy card to flash).

Yeah, one of my friends does Mechanical Engineering and he said there are only about ten girls in his degree and that most of them are overseas students:).

I think I remember someone telling me that Nursing is one third guys. Not what I was expecting:).
