anyone joined it? should people sutdying engineering join it?

and my mate wants to ask something, he got a uai of 65.xx and doing engineering at uws, he was wondering would any firms take him for cadetships?

membership's free, so what the hell? But yeah I would like to know whether it actually provides any benefits - eg giving you contacts for gaining good work experience

they have job booths , and other engineering related events which you can attend for free with the membership,also you ll need them when you graduate to get a credited stuff.You should also join apesma they have more usefull stuff that can benefit you such as finding vacation work

Yeah I think joining them will help you become a CPEng quicker.
