lmaoo this is really not true. quality over quantity. if u have 8-10 pages of garble then obviously u will also get a band 4 at most :) dont discourage people like this, it could rly affect them mentally
Exactly, and markers are also looking for precise and concise writing. There's no point going on and on just to fill up space, markers aren't impressed by this anymore.

lmao thanks for the reassuring comments , really helped me feel much better! anyways did anyone else found it so confusing how there were 2 pages to talk about the 4 mark question about the human experience of laughter. Like wth, the whole poem was just cumulative listing (a smile can glow, shine, bright, blah blah blah) also did any one else get surprised that we had to analyse the image?!? my teacher told us that english adv barely makes students analyse an image anymore?!? did anyone else write something like "the salient boat and sea parallel our focus to the freedom that the creative process has or something along those lines?

Lol sounds legit - I didn't say that but that sounds very well thought out and very "englishy" :)

Yes - the amount of lines were whacky!

how did everyone engage with the question? i feel like i didnt engage explicitly enough. i mentioned it throughout my intro and then mentioned it again after each quote, describing how the quote relates to the shared or personal nature of HE. do u guys think that is sufficient?

I agree! The distribution of marks, and lines did not reflect past papers, and it wasn't consistent throughout the paper anyways.
And yes!! The image did shock me a little. The whole structure of section 1 was weird. I nearly misread the first question which asked us to analyse 2 texts, and I was so close on doing just 1 because I didn't read the other half and questions like that are usually at the end??
I did write something similar. I talked about freedom of expression which evokes creativity : )

yea i just said salient image of the man rowing depicts creativity as a process of discovery and making sense of the world or something along that line. besides its only a 5 marks shared between 2 texts so i dont think u need to go in depth for that
